Oriel Lighting Lampshade Adapter Ring E27 -> B22 Converter

The shade adapter ring clips into the shade ring of an E27 lampshade, enabling the shade to fit onto a lamp base with a B22 lampholder. Outside of ring is E27 (43mm) inside is B22 (28mm).

Most of our loose lamp-shades are supplied with a SHADE ADAPTER RING – allowing it to be used with both BAYONET (B22) and Edison Screw (E27) lampholders.

The shade adapter ring (OLA16/SHADE) is a plastic ring which fits inside the 43mm opening of an Edison Screw (E27) lampholder reducing the size to approx. 28mm – for use with a Bayonet Cap (B22) lampholder.

If this fitting is supplied unassembled to reduce shipping cost and minimise damage, some assembly by the customer or the installing electrician may be required.

Installation:

If this fitting requires installation, connection to the mains electrical supply, that installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the wiring standard.

If this is a hardwired light fitting, and not specifically labelled “DIY” it must be installed by a licenced electrician.
